		"The materials I use are the discarded remnants of other people’s constructions, abandoned and forgotten after the initial need for them has been fulfilled. These deserted, mass-produced building materials are charged with the energy and the memory of those that have handled them. From the experiences these materials have witnessed I attempt to combine the individual and collective memories of those events. "


"My work is frequently described as minimal in construction but it is certainly not minimalist in conception. The work is not about the pure form. It is about representation, it has reference and it attempts to make comments. There is a form of expression taking place. It may be considered, quiet and reflective, but it is expression none the less. "

"I don’t see my self as a conceptual artist. I am a maker and I need to produce visceral, object based work in order to contemplate ideas and language. I don’t comprehend language alone but am fascinated by it's structure. My work does not need to be aesthetically pleasing but it must evoke feelings or emotions, which can then be considered conceptually. I have attempted in the past to move my practice toward either a more theoretical or expressive mode of production. However neither independently satisfies my creative needs."
